Let's talk about tennis : Let's go !
Hi all 👋
====================
FYI: Full tennis ball machine comparison here
====================
Well… I relapsed again 😅 Another ball machine!
This time, it’s the TENNIIX, a new-generation machine with AI under the hood 🤖 (AI available in the PRO and ULTRA versions).
🎾 Is the TENNIIX really worth it?
I ordered it and I finally received it!

⚡ The TENNIIX tennis ball machine is ultra-lightweight — only 6.5 kg — and super easy to carry around.
In the pictures, it’s honestly pretty impressive: you can almost carry it like a small suitcase.

I was really curious to see what it would be like in real life because, on paper, it looks super practical, especially when traveling to tournaments. Being able to bring a compact machine along with a basket of balls to warm up or work on a few things before matches… that could be absolutely awesome 😄
So yeah, I was really waiting to see if it could live up to the hype on that point!
My feedback on this point: ✅ Approved. It’s compact and lightweight, really pleasant to transport. In my car trunk, it doesn’t take up more space than a bucket of balls, which is super convenient. Honestly, it’s the kind of ball machine that makes you want to take it everywhere with you — and for that alone, it’s fantastic. 🚗🎾

🔩 Build quality: I’m reassured
That was one of the things I was slightly worried about — with the removable panels that also act as the ball basket, I was afraid it might feel a bit cheap or crack after a ball impact… But after my first tests, I think it’s actually pretty solid. 👍 (I still want to see how these panels hold up over time though.)
The rest of the machine feels very premium to me (although at the time of writing this, I’ve only had it for a few days lol).
🎯 Using the Tenniix Basic:
🎾 Even as a “Basic” version, this is still a very complete machine, with all the essential features you’d expect today from a modern tennis ball machine. It allows you to work on:
💡 But above all, it offers rich trajectory and spin variations within the same drill! One of the biggest strengths of this machine is clearly its ability to mix different types of shots: topspin, slice, or flat shots, with varying heights and depths.
This allows you to create training sequences that feel much more realistic and dynamic compared to older generations of ball machines.
Like many next-generation machines, it connects via Bluetooth to a mobile app 📱, allowing you to create and save your own custom drills.
You can build complete ball sequences and replay them whenever you want.

There are 3 game modes: Training / Match / Custom 🕹️
📘 Training Mode:
Training Mode offers pre-made drills. You can work on width, depth, diagonals, or specific shot patterns. Personally, I like it. It allows you to start hitting quickly without spending time programming a custom drill.
🏆 Match Mode:
Lets you play short match-like rally sequences… it’s fun, but honestly I’m not totally blown away by it.
⚙️ Custom Mode (personalized drills):
This is clearly the strongest feature of the machine, even if the app (at the time of writing — May 2025) still has room for improvement. This mode lets you program your own rally sequences, and honestly this is where the Tenniix really shines and outclasses older-generation ball machines.
- You can program specific shots and save them.
- You can create X-ball sequences and save them. You can reuse previously saved shots, adjust the timing intervals between each ball, set the number of repetitions, and define rest time between repetitions.
✅ So this part is really awesome. And once again, you can alternate different types of shots with different spins inside the same sequence. (That’s genuinely excellent!)
This has become a true standard on modern ball machines… and clearly a must-have for serious training sessions. 💪
🎾 Ball quality:
Overall, the ball quality is good. It’s one of the few machines capable of producing smashes, and one of the few capable of alternating topspin and slice balls — but I have to admit that the Tenniix is not a power monster. Ball speed is decent, but don’t expect it to completely blast you off the court with ultra-fast shots.
🎙️ Voice control module:
The Tenniix comes with a kind of wristband/watch remote control (an alternative to using your phone). At first, I wasn’t really convinced by the concept… but after a few tests, I have to admit it’s actually pretty cool. It lets you launch certain modes using voice commands and adds some improvisation possibilities into training sessions, which is honestly pretty fun.

🏅 My verdict on the Basic Version
In the end, this basic Tenniix version leaves a very strong first impression: complete, modern, versatile, and capable of delivering varied and effective training sessions. For club use or for an individual player, it’s honestly very good. 🎾👍
Pros:
- Lightweight and portable
- Modern and versatile
- Fun voice control
Cons:
- Limited ball power (good enough, but it won’t fire absolute rockets)
- App still needs improvements (not always intuitive / features could be refined)
🧩 The TENNIIX is also modular, and honestly, I find that really interesting.

Basically, you can start with the basic version — a “classic” programmable ball machine — and then upgrade it step by step:
The idea of being able to upgrade your machine over time instead of replacing everything is honestly very smart. 💡
Now we’ll have to see how it performs in real life — I’m waiting to receive the Pro and Ultra versions before giving a full opinion!
My feedback on this point: (Coming soon — I haven’t received the Pro and Ultra versions yet.)
In the Pro and Ultra versions, the machine actually includes artificial intelligence 🤖. The idea is that it analyzes your movement and your shots, then adapts in real time to send you balls matching different playing levels. On paper, this sounds much closer to a real rally and a genuine hitting exchange rather than just robotic ball feeding.
There are several types of drills and different game modes, and honestly it looks super fun to use 😄. I’m really excited to see what it can do in practice — especially to see whether it can compete with my Pace Ace Pro, which I’ve already been using for several months.
My feedback on this point: (Coming soon — I haven’t received the Pro and Ultra versions yet.)
In the TENNIIX ULTRA version, things go to another level entirely. 🚀 IT ACTUALLY MOVES AROUND THE COURT!!!
The machine sits on a 4-wheel moving platform, and then… it literally moves around the court according to your movement and shots in order to keep feeding you balls. 🤯 A ball machine that follows you around the court… I don’t know if you realize how crazy that sounds, but we’re getting close to science-fiction territory 😅 However, I still have one concern: I wonder if, at a higher level and higher pace of play, the machine might not move fast enough to remain truly realistic. In my opinion, for intermediate recreational players, it should be perfectly fine. But once you start reaching strong competitive levels, I’m afraid players could become faster than the machine itself… Then again, honestly, I have no idea yet — that’s pure speculation for now. So I’m really excited to test this for real and see how it performs. Either way, the concept itself is already completely insane, and I’m very curious to see its true potential on court. 🎾
My feedback on this point: (Coming soon — I haven’t received the Pro and Ultra versions yet.)
✨ The TENNIIX also offers features you simply don’t find on a “classic” ball machine.
I’m talking about things like:
On paper, the machine looks truly ultra-complete: compact, lightweight, easy to transport, while also being powerful and packed with modern features. 💪
Honestly, I can’t wait to keep testing it and see what it can really do.
As soon as I have more hands-on experience with the machines, I’ll update this topic with additional feedback. 👀
In the meantime, feel free to leave your comments 💬, your questions, or your own experiences with other machines. It’ll be really interesting to compare everything and see where this little TENNIIX fits into the modern ball machine game 🎾

Test of ball capacity
If a machine has a ball capacity of 120 and feeds 1 ball every 3 seconds:
