Let's talk about tennis : Let's go !
Hey everyone,
We all know the ball machine is great for grooving technique. But lately, I've been using mine differently. Instead of working on my swing, I'm using it to train my focus.
I'll set it to a consistent, medium pace and just rally. The goal isn't to hit winners or perfect form. The goal is to stay locked in for 50, 100, 200 balls in a row. To not get bored, to not get lazy, to not let my mind wander to my grocery list.
It's become less of a hitting session and more of a meditation. A way to build the mental discipline that evaporates during long, grinding points in a match.
How do you use your machine beyond pure technique? Do you have drills for mental toughness, patience, or point construction?
Mostly for consistency drills. I set a slow tempo and try to keep the rally going as long as possible without missing.
