Let's talk about tennis : Let's go !
Hi everyone,
I’d like to start a topic to introduce the Slinger Bag, the well-known tennis ball machine, for those who are considering it or simply want more information.
The Slinger Bag is an entry-level tennis ball machine that became very popular thanks to its affordable price and its all-in-one design. It combines a ball machine and a tennis bag in a single product: you load the balls, place it on the court, and you’re ready to train.
From a technical point of view, the Slinger Bag uses a single motor, which means it mainly produces topspin shots. To achieve sufficient depth, the machine generates a lot of topspin, resulting in very high, heavy balls. Some players enjoy this, while others find it less realistic compared to match conditions.
In terms of features, it remains quite simple:
Ball speed and frequency adjustment
Basic oscillation module
Lightweight and easy to transport
Battery-powered and quick to set up
However, it does not offer advanced options such as flat shots, slice, programmable drills, or precise placement control.
Overall, the Slinger Bag is a practical and accessible ball machine, ideal for beginners or casual players looking for an easy way to train alone. More advanced players may find its limitations noticeable.
Feel free to share your experience, opinion, or questions about the Slinger Bag below!
I bought a Slinger Bag two years ago. It is perfect for what I need. I am a 3.5 player and use it for consistency drills. The setup takes two minutes. The heavy topspin forces me to get under the ball and practice my shoulder-high forehand. For the price, it is a great tool.
