Let's talk about tennis : Let's go !
Hello everyone!
Another AI-powered tennis ball machine for training? Yes… but this one doesn’t just shoot balls: it also moves on the court (side to side) ^^, like a real sparring partner.
On paper, the design looks very smart. Everything seems to be built to replicate real match play. Honestly, I can’t wait to receive it and test it out…
If it delivers on its promises, this ACEII could truly be a game changer as well. 🎾🔥
In the meantime, here are some thoughts and questions about this machine (with answers coming once I’ve actually tested it).
For now, I’d say yes: the machine looks solid and fairly robust. That said, I’m waiting to receive it before forming a real opinion, especially since it’s made up of several components: cameras, motors, wheels… a whole little mechanical ecosystem.
I do have one concern though: what happens when it takes full-power shots, or when a slightly clumsy player runs into it? 😅
Will it hold up, or will it start to struggle?
So I don’t yet know how it will age on court, but one thing is certain: we’re going to put it through some serious stress tests 💪🎾
My verdict on this point: (Machine not received yet)
The ACEii is made up of two compartments: the motor unit and the ball basket. The basket can also be used to store a racket, in addition to holding around 120 balls.

I assume the company chose this two-part design because the machine is relatively tall and potentially bulky. This height is due to the presence of two stacked motor systems: one for movement and one for ball projection.

I still have a few reservations about the overall size, but the setup looks fairly well thought out. I’ll be able to say more once I’ve tested it on court.
My verdict on this point: (Machine not received yet)
This is clearly the part that interests me the most. Not only does the machine move on the court, but it also analyzes the player’s movements as well as ball trajectories to offer intelligent game modes that resemble real human rallies.

Thanks to its AI, it also promises training drills adapted to the player, with logic that looks genuinely advanced.

Needless to say, I’m extremely curious to see how this performs in real conditions: does it live up to the hype on court? 🤖🎾
For me, this is by far the most exciting aspect of the machine.
My verdict on this point: (Machine not received yet)

On the app side, there are plenty of features that look very appealing.
First, the ability to create your own customized drills, including the machine’s movement patterns — that could be very powerful for building tailored training sessions.
Then there are fairly advanced statistics, especially related to ball impact data. This is exactly the kind of information I care about, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it works in practice.
The machine can also record video and take photos, which can be extremely useful for technique analysis and integrating that directly into training sessions.
Overall, the app looks very well designed, and that really appeals to me.
I’ve even heard that you can import external player data so the machine can replicate their playing style. If that actually works well, I think I’ll be completely blown away 😅🎾…

Hi Elouan, thanks for your share,
This is exactly where training needs to go! Hitting against a static machine gets boring and doesn't prepare you for match movement. But here, if the AI can truly create random, reactive rallies, it's a game-changer for players without consistent partners. The app analytics for shot placement could be a coaching tool in itself.
Don't forget the fun factor. Hitting with a static machine can get monotonous. If this thing makes solo practice more engaging and game-like, that's a huge win for development. Staying on court longer because you're enjoying the drill is priceless. It might be worth it for that psychological benefit alone if you have the disposable income. 😊
