Quick question about tennis shoes.
Do expensive models really make a noticeable difference, or are we mostly paying for the brand name?
I’m currently hesitating between mid-range and top-tier shoes, and I’m not sure if the price jump is actually justified.
I play a few times a week on hard courts, so comfort and durability matter, but I don’t want to overspend if it’s not necessary.
Would love to hear your experiences, especially if you’ve tried both price ranges.
For hard courts, I think durability matters more than having the most expensive model.
A good mid-range shoe with solid outsole protection can already do the job very well.
The premium price only makes sense if it also brings better comfort, support or longer life.
Otherwise, I’d rather replace a cheaper pair a little more often.
The biggest difference for me would be comfort and stability, not the logo on the shoe.
If a more expensive model gives better cushioning and keeps the foot locked in during lateral movement, that can be worth paying for.
But if both pairs feel equally secure, I’m not sure the extra cost is justified.
Fit should probably come before price.
