Let's talk about tennis : Let's go !
Hey everyone,
recently switched to a more forgiving racket. On paper, it offers less control, a bit more power, and a larger sweet spot. Not exactly the kind of frame usually associated with serious tennis.
But on court, something unexpected happened.
In rallies, especially under pressure, I’m missing less. I’m committing fewer unforced errors when points get tight. My swing feels freer, decision-making clearer, and mentally I’m calmer. I’m not fighting the racket, I’m trusting it.
It made me question something we often take for granted: at amateur level, do we overvalue control specs and undervalue forgiveness?
Is forgiveness actually a hidden performance booster when nerves, imperfect footwork, and inconsistent timing are part of the reality?
Curious to hear your thoughts.
