Let's talk about tennis : Let's go !
Hello everyone,
I’ve been paying closer attention to something subtle but important during my recent matches the way my strings feel and vibrate on serve, especially on big points.
It’s not necessarily about power or spin. The ball still travels fast. But the feedback in the hand feels different depending on string tension, string type, and overall stringbed condition.
Sometimes the contact feels clean, stable, predictable and in those moments, I serve with full confidence.
Other times, the vibration feels slightly harsher, less stable, or less connected. And even if the serve is technically fine, that small difference in feel makes me hesitate just enough to affect commitment and rhythm.
What’s interesting is that this seems more connected to confidence than pure mechanics. When the stringbed feels right, I swing freely. When it feels less predictable, I subconsciously guide the serve instead of accelerating naturally.
This made me wonder how much vibration feedback influences confidence on important serves especially under pressure.
Do you notice differences in vibration feedback depending on string type, tension, or freshness? And does that affect how freely you serve on big points?
