As you can see quite clearly in the picture below, in tennis, we can generally identify 4 progression zones in the depth of the court.
1) The area where we are generally decent: I am moved back into the field, I throw defensive balls (generally bells)
2) A Neutral zone / Game construction zone: I am a little more advanced, can place my balls, build to put my opponent in difficulty.
3) Attack zone: I obtain a ball favorable to an attack: Boom! I attack!! (But be careful as far as possible I only make one strike in this area, I do not stay there)
4) Finishing: The opponent put in difficulty by my attack returns the ball but I am at the net and I finish the point.
