I’m looking at the Match Mate Rookie as a first ball machine for kids and beginner players. It seems simple to use, with a slower ball speed that should be suitable for learning basic technique without pressure.

For those who know or own this model:

• Is the speed range appropriate for juniors and beginners?

• How easy is it to set up and operate for non-technical users?

• Build quality and durability when used regularly by kids

• Battery life and any problems with charging or power

• Whether players quickly “outgrow” it as they improve

• If you had to start again, would you choose this machine or another one?
