198 Volley exercise with a cone

Hi friends !

In this exercise we will use a cone to work on the footwork and coordination needed for volleys.

 

Exercice de volée avec un cône

  • Place two markers at 45 degrees a few feet from the net. The coach will send you balls towards the markers.
  • Your objective is to advance towards the marker, catch the ball in the cone and return it to the coach.
  • Initially, make sure your legs are apart and you bend your knees while holding your hands out in front of you. The cone should be positioned above your waist.
  • The coach will alternate balls from the right side and the backhand side to work both sides.
  • To make the exercise more difficult, you can use a smaller cone, which will require better judgment of the trajectory.

This exercise will help you improve your footwork, coordination and ability to anticipate the trajectory of the ball during tennis volleys.
