385 Solo Tennis Drill – Federer’s Backhand

Hi everyone!

Here’s a solo tennis drill inspired by Roger Federer’s backhand in his match against Alexander Zverev.

How to run the drill:

Place the ball machine in front of you, centered on the baseline, and program a sequence of two balls:

  • First ball: a powerful ball simulating a serve to the forehand side. Send it back with a deep, driven cross-court forehand.
  • Second ball: a slightly central ball to the backhand side. Play a short, precise backhand that drops just behind the net to surprise your opponent.

Do 10 complete sets with 20 seconds of rest between each set.
