Hi friends !
Here is an exercise to improve control of low volleys, using good leg technique and applying backspin to keep the ball low.
Execution of the exercise:
- Set up a ball machine to send low balls towards you.
- Place two cones on the opposing service line.
- Start on the service line then step forward and use a dip to the left leg to position yourself well under the ball. (if you are right-handed).
- When hitting, open your racket slightly to add backspin and keep the ball as low as possible so that it does not bounce too high, making it difficult for your opponent to counterattack.
Aim mainly along the line for your low forehand volleys and try to hit the cones placed on the opponent's service line to work on your precision.
