241 Tennis drill - precision and responsiveness drop shot forehand and backhand

Hello friends!

Here is an exercise to improve the precision and regularity of drop shots, as well as the ability to quickly change sides on the court.

Execution of the exercise:

  • Player A stands on the opposite side of the court, ready to hit forehand and backhand balls.
  • Two baskets are placed near the net on the coach's side: one on the left and one on the right.
  • The coach sends a ball to the right side of player A. Player A must move to hit the ball forehand, trying to place it in the basket to the right of the coach.
  • After the forehand, the coach quickly sends a ball to the left side of player A. Player A must move to backhand the ball, trying to place it in the basket to the coach's left.
  • The coach continues to send balls alternately to the right and left of player A, gradually increasing the speed and frequency of throws to make the exercise more difficult.
