Hi friends !
Landing a forehand topspin in tennis can be a decisive move to gain an advantage over your opponent.
Execution of the exercise:
- Player A stands near the baseline, while his partner is at the net.
- The net partner sends easy volleys so that Player A can practice lobs.
- At the moment of impact with the ball, player A must hit the ball slightly underhand, making an up and down movement with the racket. This will generate the topspin necessary to make the ball rise higher above the opponent.
TIPS: Use a semi-open grip or a closed grip for the lob lift. This means your hand will hold the racket further down the grip, allowing for better control of topspin. After hitting the ball,
follow your gesture forward and upward to give more power and precision to your lob.
