Hi friends, today we are going to look at an exercise that is often used to improve volleying and smashing skills in tennis.
Execution of the exercise:
- Player A positions himself on the central service line of the service zone ready to receive the balls.
- The coach or partner sends three successive balls to the player.
- The player completes three volleys while advancing towards the net. After the three ends, player A must touch the net with his racket.
- Then, a smash ball is sent to the player.
- The player quickly takes a few steps back to position himself and perform the smash while moving backwards.
- Once the player has completed the smash, he returns to his starting position to repeat the exercise.
This exercise allows you to work on the coordination of movements, volley and smash technique,
as well as the ability to move forward and backward quickly on the court to attack the ball successfully.
