201 Smash drill - one volley, one smash

Hi everyone,

In this drill, the coach sends a first ball to the player, who must hit it out of the air as a volley. Then the coach sends a second, higher ball, which the player must return with a smash.

Before each smash, the player must touch the net with their racket, then move back quickly to reposition before hitting the ball with an overhead smash.

The objective of this drill is to improve the player’s reaction speed, ability to move quickly, and capacity to execute an effective smash after touching the net.

And so on.
