I’ve got a simple question: is every tennis club this “try-hard”?
At mine, even the recreational sessions feel like ATP qualifiers lol.
Tense atmosphere, players grinding every rally, zero chill.
Is this normal where you play? Or did I just join the most competitive club in the country? 😅
Some clubs are toxic. Others are super chill. Depends on the culture.
Been there.
Constant try-hard energy kills the enjoyment.
Switching to a mixed-level group helped me a lot.
Check if your club offers “friendly match play” nights too. Those are way more relaxed.
