Hi
When we are on the sidelines and we watch our child play a match we tend to give him advice... Please be aware that this is prohibited by the regulations: No coaching! And I know what you're saying, my little one is only 10 years old, leaving him all alone on the field is hard...
It's not uncommon to come across parents trying to correct their children's technique... It's a very big mistake!
Be aware that giving technical advice during a match does not help!
- It is not in the match that your child will suddenly improve his backhand. (He will do it later, in training but there, at the moment T, he is in his match and he is doing it with the weapons)
- Telling him to change this or that... it only puts extra pressure on him.
- This confuses him in his game choices.
Encourage your child yes, support him yes, but do not give him advice on his technique (however wise it may be) during his matches... and let him manage his match calmly.
