Good vibes only: Why a long rally feels better than winning a quick point

Hi friends. I know I should love winning points fast. An ace, a return winner, it looks great. But honestly? Those quick points stress me out. They feel like luck. They’re over before my brain even engages.

For me, real confidence comes from the grind. From those long rallies where you’re both just trading blows, running side to side, and you finally nail that shot to win it. That’s when I actually trust my game.

Anyone else get this?

  • Is a long, tough rally that you lose still more satisfying than a sloppy short point you win?
  • What’s your go-to shot to stay calm and keep a rally going when you feel pressure?
  • Do you secretly enjoy when your opponent is also a “rally monster,” even if it’s exhausting?

Let’s chat about the pure, simple joy of just hitting the ball back and forth.
