Let's talk about tennis : Let's go !
Hey everyone! I've been playing consistently for about 3 years (solid 3.5-4.0 level) and keep hearing about advanced players customizing their rackets with lead tape, overgrips, or counterweighting.
Is this something we intermediates should consider, or are we better off focusing on technique first?
Lead tape for more power/stability?
Extra overgrips for handle size/comfort?
Counterweighting to change balance?
Would love to hear from players who've tried this at our level. Noticeable difference or overcomplicating things? What simple mods actually helped your game?
Small changes help a LOT with stability.
Watch some YouTube tutorials before applying lead tape! Placement matters 12 o'clock for more power, 3 and 9 for stability. I added 3g at 3 and 9 o'clock and finally stopped getting pushed around by bigger hitters!
