Shoe grip importance during directional changes

Hi everyone,

Shoe grip plays a huge role in movement, especially during sharp directional changes. When traction is solid, acceleration feels more explosive and defensive slides feel controlled. Confidence in movement directly affects shot commitment.

On the other hand, poor grip limits push-off power and makes players more cautious. Even small slips can disrupt rhythm and reduce defensive efficiency. Footwork quality depends not only on technique, but also on how secure you feel on the surface.

When choosing tennis shoes, do you prioritize outsole grip first, or are comfort and stability equally important for you?
