Hi everyone,

We all know that a good tennis partner isn't just about having a strong backhand or a big serve. The best hitting sessions and doubles partnerships are built on attitude, respect, and shared expectations.

When you think about your favorite people to share a court with, what makes them great?

  • Is it reliability and clear communication when scheduling?
  • Is it a shared competitive intensity, whether you're playing for fun or for keeps?
  • Do you value a partner who gives constructive feedback or one who keeps things positive?
  • How important is a partner's ability to adapt to your level on an off-day?

Let's go beyond skill level and talk about the personal qualities that make tennis partnerships truly rewarding.

Adaptability is key. If I'm struggling, a good partner might ease up the pace to help me find my timing, rather than capitalizing on every mistake. The goal is a mutually beneficial session, not just winning every practice point.

Positive energy, especially on bad days, is everything. We all have off days. A good partner doesn't get frustrated by your errors. They encourage you, laugh it off, and help you find your rhythm again. They make tennis fun, no matter the score.
