In this drill, players learn how to position themselves correctly to hit a good overhead.
How to Run the Drill:
- The coach and players take positions on opposite sides of the court.
- The coach sends a high, slightly lobbed ball to the first player.
- The player must move into position, holding the racket in the dominant hand as if preparing to hit an overhead, while extending the other hand upward to intercept the high ball along its path.
- After 8 feeds, switch players.
The objective is to catch as many balls as possible while repositioning on the court in an overhead stance.
