Our club's "Social Mix-In" has become so competitive!

Is this happening at anyone else's club? Our Friday night social mix-in used to be about fun, meeting people, and having a hit. Lately, it's been taken over by a group of 4.0 players who treat every match like it's Wimbledon. They get visibly angry at errors and aren't rotating partners fairly.

It's driving away the newer and more casual players. How does your club balance social play with competitive spirits? Any advice on how to handle this without causing drama?

Our club introduced a simple rule: "Social sessions are for social play. Unsportsmanlike conduct or refusal to rotate will result in a warning, then a temporary ban." The pro had to enforce it a couple of times, but it worked. Maybe suggest a designated "competitive" night for those players?
