Joining a cub league mid season: Tips for a smooth start

Hello!

I am considering joining my club's singles league. The season is already a few weeks underway. I am a solid player but new to the club's formal system.

I worry it might be awkward to enter now. Current players have established routines and rankings.

  • Has anyone done this before? What was your experience?
  • Are league organizers usually open to mid season entries?
  • What is the best way to introduce myself to the group?
  • Should I expect a period of adjustment as the newcomer?

Any advice for integrating smoothly would be very welcome.

Thanks a lot Smile

Everyone starts somewhere. Do not overthink it. Most leagues are happy to have committed players. Just contact the league coordinator. They will explain the process for adding you to the schedule and ranking.
