I’m seriously considering the Spinshot Player ball machine because of the programmable drills and app control. I like the idea of setting up custom patterns for forehands, backhands, approach shots etc. I usually train 2–3 times a week and want something flexible that I won’t outgrow quickly.

If you’ve used the Spinshot Player, could you comment on:

• Overall reliability and build quality

• How well the custom drills and smartphone app work in practice

• Accuracy of ball placement and variation in height/spin

• Battery performance and charging time

• Noise level on court and ease of transport

• Whether you feel it’s worth the price compared to similar machines
