Hello!!

We finally received it and tested it — and it is incredible!!

AceMate S10 tennis robot
AceMate

🎾🤖 The AceMate Tennis Robot S10 is a next-generation tennis ball machine equipped with cameras and artificial intelligence.
It analyzes the player's movements and the trajectories of the balls, then moves around the court to create more realistic and adaptive rallies.

It is a spectacular and incredibly fun innovation — as you are about to see! 🚀

The equipment: 📦 Unboxing and first impressions

  • What is included in the box: everything you need is there — the AceMate S10 tennis robot with its net, the battery, the charger, a small cleaning brush and a basic user manual. 🎾🔋🔌
  • Build quality: my first impression was honestly very positive. Almost the entire structure of the machine is made of metal, including the housings around the cameras. This immediately gives it a real sense of strength and durability. It is clear that the AceMate engineers wanted to design a robot capable of withstanding regular use on the tennis court. 💪🤖 AceMate S10 metal constructionAceMate S10 camera housingAceMate S10 build quality
  • Dimensions and weight: in the photos and videos, the AceMate S10 looked very large to me, but it is actually quite easy to transport. The machine separates into two parts: the main robot unit, which is about the same size as a conventional tennis ball machine, and the basket-and-net section, which can be detached and clipped back on very easily. 🚗🎾 It weighs around 20 kg, which is similar to many other tennis ball machines. Once fully assembled on the court, it stands approximately 1.80 m tall. This really gives you the impression of having a player in front of you and provides very useful visual reference points during rallies. 🤖👤

  • 🚗 Transport and storage: the AceMate Tennis Robot S10 does not create any particular difficulties. You simply detach the basket-and-net section and place the two parts separately in the trunk of the car, as you can see in the photos. 🎾AceMate S10 inside a car trunkTransporting the AceMate S10This was a very pleasant surprise because I initially thought it would be the kind of machine that had to remain permanently at the club. In reality, it is easy to take it to the court and bring it back home after every session. 👍

Overall verdict on the equipment and first impressions

My first hands-on experience with the AceMate S10 was therefore very positive. The machine feels solid, robust and made from high-quality materials. Every component seems to have been carefully designed, both to withstand regular use and to make the robot easier to transport and set up on the court. An excellent first impression before even beginning the real on-court test! 🎾🤖

🎾 Time to test it! How good is the AceMate S10 on the court? 🤖

In just a few words: Surprising, fun, innovative, convincing and effective for training.

Honestly, before testing it, I expected a fairly average machine that might feel a little gimmicky. Once it was on the court, however, the surprise was complete: the AceMate S10 is genuinely capable, enjoyable to use and far more convincing than I had imagined. 🤩🎾

First of all, the AceMate S10 is very easy to set up: the app is very well designed and extremely easy to use.

AceMate S10 mobile app

AceMate S10 animated app instructions

(I really like the small animated diagrams — they are excellent.)

The machine offers several playing modes, which I will discuss in greater detail below. You can immediately launch one of the preprogrammed drills, and from the very first balls one thing becomes obvious: it moves, and it moves much better than I expected! 🤖💨 I was even surprised by how quickly it could move. Watching a machine move around the court, analyze the trajectory of the ball and position itself to continue the rally is quite impressive.

Below is a video of my first rallies with the machine.

You quickly get caught up in the experience and, at times, it almost feels as though you have a real opponent in front of you. This mobility brings a genuine benefit, particularly in terms of reading the game, understanding angles and improving positioning. 👀🎾

Beyond the spectacular aspect, AceMate offers many drills, playing modes and programming options that allow you to train seriously and with plenty of variety. The first impressions are therefore excellent: it is fun, innovative and genuinely useful for improving your tennis. 🔥

Now let us take a closer look at everything this machine can do.

📱 A complete and intuitive app

The AceMate app is clear, pleasant to use and quite intuitive. It includes a large selection of preprogrammed drills, while also allowing you to create your own customized sessions according to your goals. 🎯

  • Three main playing modes are available:
  1. Classic ball machine mode: the robot remains stationary and sends the balls exactly where you tell it to.
  2. Rally mode, designed to simulate real exchanges: the robot sends the balls to the selected areas and moves like a human player in order to return your shots.
  3. Drill mode, designed to work on specific situations: the robot sends the balls to the selected areas and moves only within the zones you have defined.

🛠️ Creating your own drills: simple and well designed

AceMate S10 drill modeAceMate S10 rally mode

Once again, AceMate has done an excellent job here. I expected the programming system to be complicated and highly technical, but it is actually the complete opposite: creating a drill is particularly intuitive. 👍

Here is an exemple of custum drill :

You simply position the robot virtually where you want it, select the area where it should send the ball, and then repeat the process for each following shot. This makes it very easy to decide where the machine should move and where every ball should land on the court. 🎾📍

Rally mode is just as straightforward: you draw an area in which the robot is allowed to move, then define the general direction of the balls. This allows you to create customized rally situations very quickly, based on the specific skills you want to work on.

Another excellent feature is that you can also edit and personalize the many drills already included in the app. The initial drill library is already very comprehensive, but you remain completely free to adapt it to your own needs. It is simple, practical and honestly very well designed. 👏🤖

From that point on, everything is ready for you to play: there are plenty of built-in drills, you can create your own, edit existing ones and build highly varied training sessions. In this respect, the experience is genuinely enjoyable and the possibilities are extensive. 🎾😄

⚡ Good ball quality, but do not expect missiles

It is worth noting that the AceMate S10 is not designed to fire absolute missiles on every shot. The balls are clean, consistent and fast enough for serious training, but they do not have the pace or weight of shot produced by a powerful player. 💥

This does not prevent the machine from being extremely enjoyable to play with. As you can see in the videos, the rallies remain dynamic and are particularly useful for working on positioning, consistency and movement. 🤖🔥

📊🎾 Detailed statistics and AI-powered advice

The app provides results and a wide range of useful data for analyzing your sessions and monitoring your progress. The statistics are detailed and particularly interesting, although they should be treated as useful indicators rather than perfectly infallible data. For example, I hit several balls into the net without feeling that every one of them was necessarily recorded by the machine.

AceMate S10 training statisticsAceMate S10 AI training report

Despite this small reservation, the information provided remains very useful for understanding your game, identifying trends and tracking your development over time. 📈🎾

The real icing on the cake is the artificial-intelligence-generated reports. Based on the recorded data, the app analyzes your session and recommends advice and specific drills to help you improve. This is a very well designed, relevant and particularly motivating feature. 🤖💡

🥅 It can catch the balls too!

I almost forgot to mention one of the most original features of the AceMate S10: thanks to its large net, it can catch some of the balls you hit back. The machine analyzes their trajectories, moves toward them and tries to position itself in order to receive them. 🤖🎾

Let us be honest: it does not catch every ball. When a shot is hit a little harder, the ball may pass the machine, rebound off the metal structure or bounce back out of the net. Nevertheless, it still manages to collect a reasonable number of balls, which means there are fewer to pick up at the end of the session.

Personally, this is not the feature that interests me the most, but it is undeniably innovative, entertaining and sometimes quite impressive. The robot can genuinely accelerate as it tries to catch a ball! 💨

In the end, I almost prefer it not to catch them: if it collects my shot too easily, that probably means I have not made things difficult enough for it! The movement of the robot around the court remains my favorite feature, but this ball-catching function adds a spectacular and extremely fun dimension to the experience. You will also be able to see it in action in the videos. 📹🔥

✅ Conclusion: a truly unique machine

After several sessions with the AceMate S10, the overall verdict is extremely positive. On paper, I expected a spectacular machine that might nevertheless feel slightly gimmicky once it reached the court. In reality, the opposite is true: it is solid, easy to use, very complete and, above all, incredibly enjoyable to play with. 🎾🤖

Its greatest strength is undoubtedly its ability to move around the court. This completely changes the sensation of playing, improves your visual reference points and sometimes genuinely makes it feel as though you have a partner or opponent in front of you. Add to that an intuitive app, numerous drills, the ability to create your own programs, detailed statistics and even AI-generated reports. 📱📊

Of course, it is not perfect. The balls can lack a little pace and weight for players looking to face very powerful shots, the statistics do not always appear to be completely accurate, and the ball-catching system is more entertaining than infallible. However, these few limitations do not spoil the overall experience in any way.

The AceMate S10 is innovative, fun and genuinely useful for working on consistency, movement, positioning and point construction. It obviously cannot completely replace a real training partner, but it comes much closer than a conventional tennis ball machine.

In summary, it is an excellent surprise and probably one of the most original and interesting machines we have had the opportunity to test. It is a genuine success for players who want to train alone while retaining a lively, dynamic and interactive playing experience. 🔥

This ball machine looks incredible! What do you think about the wheels? Do you think they're durable enough? Will they stand the test of time?

Hi

So far, I'm impressed with the build quality. The wheels feel sturdy, but only long-term use will reveal how well they hold up. I'll be sure to share an update after extended testing.

Small update regarding the AceMate S10: the app has just been updated to version 2.1.10, bringing several new features that are far from insignificant.

The first major improvement concerns custom drills.

In both Training and Rally modes, it is now possible to freely move the target points to precisely define the areas where the balls should be sent.

You can now also choose whether the drills run sequentially or with random ball placement. This really opens up a lot of possibilities for creating much more varied and less predictable training sessions.

Another addition that I find particularly interesting is the ability to set a rest period between each repetition. This starts to feel much closer to a real rally or physical training session: play for 20 seconds, recover for 10 or 20 seconds, then start a new sequence, and so on. For me, this is an excellent improvement.

app is 2.1.10 (1)

The update also adds a ball height calibration setting, allowing you to fine-tune the trajectory when balls are being launched too high or too low. This was clearly a setting that was missing and had become almost essential on this type of machine.

Finally, you can now restart the previous drill simply by raising your hand towards the robot, without having to go back to your phone. On court, this is exactly the kind of small feature that can make a big difference in terms of ease of use.

Overall, this is a very interesting update, with several important improvements that clearly move the AceMate S10 in the right direction.

Of course, we’re going to test all of this on court, especially the new training settings and rest periods, and we’ll share our feedback after a few sessions. 🎾

The mobility is probably the feature that interests me most. A conventional ball machine is always predictable because you know exactly where the next ball is coming from, whereas a robot that actually moves according to the rally should force you to read angles and positioning differently. I’d be curious to see how convincing it remains when the rally gets faster.

The new random option in the 2.1.10 update sounds like a really useful improvement. Being able to create a drill and then make the target selection unpredictable should make the session much less mechanical. Have you already noticed a big difference compared with running the same drill sequentially?

0

I like that you mention the limitation in ball speed instead of presenting the machine as perfect. For an advanced player, do you think the lack of weight on the ball becomes a real limitation, or does the movement of the robot compensate for that by making the rally more demanding in other ways?

0

The statistics and AI reports look very interesting, especially if the app can suggest drills based on what happened during the session. I would love to see a comparison after several weeks to find out whether the recommendations actually evolve with the player and whether the tracking becomes useful for measuring progress over time.

0

The ability to set a rest period between repetitions is a great addition. That makes it possible to build sessions more like real point play: intense sequence, short recovery, then another sequence. Combined with random placement, I can imagine this being very useful for physical conditioning as well as technical work.

0

Restarting the previous drill just by raising your hand is exactly the kind of feature that sounds minor until you use a machine on court. Having to walk back to the phone every time can completely break the rhythm of a session. Hopefully they will add even more gesture controls in future updates.

The ball-catching system is fun, but I agree that the robot’s movement seems much more important than the net itself. What I would really like to know after a few months is how the wheels and moving parts hold up with regular use, especially on different court surfaces. That will probably be one of the key points for long-term ownership.
