How has your tennis mindset changed as you've gotten older?

It's a simple truth: our bodies change over time. In tennis, that means we might not have the same explosive speed or recovery we once did. But something else grows: experience, patience, and court craft.

I find myself playing a different, smarter game now. The need to out-muscle opponents has shifted to a desire to out-think them.

  • What specific parts of your game have you consciously changed or adjusted with age?
  • How do you train differently now to stay healthy and competitive?
  • Has your motivation for playing shifted (e.g., from winning to social connection, fitness, or pure enjoyment)?
  • What advice would you give your younger self about building a sustainable, lifelong tennis game?

Let's share the wisdom that comes with experience and talk about thriving on court at every age.
